Sax & the Single Girl
Feb 7, 2003
Author: Robert Mari

This is a fundraising concert for the Music Therapy Program of the Victoria Conservatory to benefit patients with cancer at the Patient & Family Counselling Program of the Vancouver Island Cancer Centre in Victoria. The performance will celebrate the many different stages & kinds of love women experience with the emphasis on ‘sax’—saxophone that is! And it’s guaranteed to be really good sax! (And you know how hard it is to find good sax!) We’ve got Gordon Clements on sax, Robert Mari on piano as well as music director along with his trio ‘How Many Cats’ James Young on bass & Gerry Charlebois on percussion. Gwen Dobie is artistic director, Lia Biros choreographer & ‘George’ Susan Lindsay producer. Doug Simpson will be singing along with Mallory Manly & Caila Thompson-Hannant.

For further information call ‘George’ at 384-2878 or email susan@horizon.bc.ca.
